Our care team will always encourage and promote choice and independence, whilst respecting individual preferences and beliefs, to maintain the highest levels of privacy and dignity. We recognise that family involvement is extremely important when providing care and support, so we will work very closely with family members who may not always be close by or immediately contactable.

How our home care services work
We will discuss your care needs over the telephone and arrange to visit you at home or in hospital, so that we can meet you and assess your current care needs. During the assessment we will answer any questions that you may have, whilst planning with you the best level of care and support to fit your requirements. At the end of the assessment the care team will confirm a time and date to commence your package of care.
During the first week of care the assessment team will visit you at home just to check on how you are getting on. This is a great opportunity to discuss your care needs and make any slight adjustments or changes to your care plan.
Our care team will always promote choice and independence during each visit, so that you can become more independent day by day, while also gaining more confidence. It’s really nice to see a service user become fully independent after we have been supporting them.
1Care offers a fully regulated home care service, which is only available to adults with short term or long term home care needs. Our home care service is delivered to you in the comfort of your own home by our friendly and compassionate care staff. All care staff are background checked and fully trained far beyond the basic regulated requirements. This is carried out by our own Hampshire County Council Accredited in-house training department.
Urgent Hospital Admissions
If you are admitted to hospital unexpectedly, either for a day or a few weeks, 1Care will ensure that your care remains in place. This ensures that, when you are fit for discharge, you can come home without delay or disruption, with the right level of care delivered by a familiar team of carers. This, in turn, will provide you with great continuity and peace of mind, knowing that your 1Care carers will be there the moment you are home from hospital.
By working closely with you, your family and the hospital team, we will ensure that your package of care is restarted smoothly and your return home is as comfortable as possible.
