Looking to start a new career in care? Or maybe you already work in the care sector and would like to expand your knowledge and skills, or simply work for a different care provider? Working at 1Care is an incredibly rewarding opportunity, from front line care that you deliver, to getting to know the service users - no two days are ever the same.

What makes us different is that we do not offer zero hour contracts, as all our care staff are employed with contracted hours, agreed with them to suit their availability. This enables them to earn consistent pay, week in week out, whilst supporting service users in set areas with great continuity. We want every member of our care team to achieve the best when they are out working, rather than sat in a car driving lengthy distances or being stuck in traffic jams.

What are we looking for in a home carer or support worker?

Firstly there is no typical mould you must fit to be a home or live in carer, it's all about you, your life experience, your personality and your approach to helping others. We welcome anyone who wants to progress their career into the care sector such as:

  • Are you at college and looking for additional work out of college?
  • Are you a university student looking to gain social care experience whilst training to be a social worker or nurse?
  • Are you a new mum and looking for full or part time work?
  • Are you currently working in a care home and looking for a change?

You don’t need to have specific qualification to join our team, it us all about you and what you want to achieve.

1Care offers full in-house care training, tailored to you, your experience, your skills and the type of care you will be delivering to our clients.

These are some personal characteristics that will help you identify if care working is for you:

  • Good Listener
  • Compassionate
  • Have Empathy

Working at 1Care reviews:

Great care company with very high standards

They expect high standards from their staff, if you don’t reach the standards expected then they will then set an action plan.

If your care delivery doesn’t improve then they will close your employment. They are supportive and pay well and on time and in return all they expect is 100% effort all the time.

Great company if you have high standards! Very refreshing to see in the care sector.
