Elderly Care at Home Service Specialists in Southampton
What is Home Care for the Elderly in Southampton?
Elderly care can be offered through home visits, during the day or night. A fully qualified and trained live-in carer can also be arranged, providing the extra reassurance that someone is always there to support and help you or your elderly relatives live independently.
Care for the elderly involves dedicated support for an older person who wishes to continue living in their own home. It may involve personal care, domiciliary care, housekeeping services, cooking meals, administering medication, mobility support or companionship and support getting out and about.
This extra support within the home environment can be invaluable in maintaining routines and living with a good degree of independence, especially for someone living with dementia.

How Our Elderly Home Care Services Work in Southampton
We will discuss your care needs over the telephone and arrange to visit you at home or in hospital, so that we can meet you to assess your current care needs. During the assessment, we will answer any questions that you may have, whilst planning with you the best level of care and support to suit your requirements. At the end of the assessment the care team will confirm a time and date to commence your package of care.
During the first week of care the assessment team will visit you at home just to check on how you are getting on. This is a great opportunity to discuss your care needs and make any slight adjustments or changes to your care plan.
Our elderly home care service is delivered to you in the comfort of your own home by our friendly and compassionate care staff. All care staff are background checked and fully trained far beyond the basic regulated requirements. This is carried out by our own Hampshire County Council Accredited in-house training department.
Why choose our elderly home care services?
Our care team will always encourage and promote choice and independence, whilst respecting individual preferences and beliefs, to maintain the highest levels of privacy and dignity. We recognise that family involvement is extremely important when providing elderly home care and support, so we will work very closely with family members who may not always be close by or immediately contactable.
At 1Care, we firmly believe that working in partnership with families and care professionals will always ensure the very best outcomes are achieved for the people receiving our elderly home care and support.
