Adult Learning Disability Care Service
Learning disabilities and the associated support required can vary vastly person to person, as each individual’s specific requirements are unique.
Whether it be social inclusion, life skills or day-to-day living, our support workers are all trained to meet these needs in a compassionate and supportive way, whilst remaining inclusive and keeping the person engaged.
All learning disability support is delivered from a thorough support plan and through person centred planning (PCP) meetings, that highlight the individual’s goals and the pathway to ensuring that these are achievable. PCP meetings are led by the individual themselves and facilitated by a member of the team who is trained in their delivery. The individual can choose who they wish to be present and involved.
Our support can vary from short skills led or community access visits, to offering support within a single or multi-person supported living environment

We understand the critical value of being part of the local community and creating a daily life that manages disabilities whilst also presenting experiences and activities to deliver an interesting day.
1Care's learning disability carers can join clients on shopping trips, for visits to friends and family or simply accompany them to medical appointments.
Learning Disability Daily Support Care Services
1Care offers daily care for a range of learning disabilities, with packages that include showering, taking a bath, getting dressed and getting ready for bed. Personal support carers can also help with personal grooming; shaving or brushing hair.
We typically prepare a hot meal and a drink, provide support and administer medication, whilst making sure the home is safe & secure before they go to sleep.
